DIY Table Decor!

Hello Hello Brides and Grooms , we meet again . And always here with a fresh DIY just a few shy days off one of the biggest lovey dovey days of the year !!

Perspex signs have become a popular trend at weddings . And Now they come in an assortment of varieties from frosted to decaled, you name it. And to be honest . I think they are rather lovely. So much so I HAD TO HAVE THEM!! But when you look at the price of some custom signs - well yes that dream crashes and dies. And of course I wanted custom disney signs and menu signs . So being my DIY self - a boer miesie maak a plan, and now I'm here to share that with you , with a freebie or two!

These were super easy to make and I even did my own menu signs ! YES , which saved a ton of paper ( yes environmentally friendly, yes!) and of course ever friendlier on our budget and overall look.

So for this little DIY I'm going to be showing you how to make these little beauties with different effects (Frosted vs Not Frosted). You can check out the full details below - or check our little tutorial here :)

Your Shopping List -

  • A5 sized perspex and had the little wood pieces cut out to fit my perpex signs.

  • You need to design your signs in a A5 Format and print these out

  • A Set of Sharpie Pens

  • If you are going for a Frosted look you need Frosted Spray Paint

Tip : Those wood pieces are extremely easy to make. You can take a 3 x 4 piece of wood. And slice them into 150 mm (15cm) pieces. The thickness of the perspex can be sawed direclt in the middle and if you want to do this yourself you are welcome to give it a shot. Or you can do what I did and ask your local Builders or Hardware store to do this for you.

Lets Get Cracking -

  1. All you do is place the sheet underneath the perspex and literally trace it onto to the perspex.

  2. If you make any mistakes don't stress - simple take some acetone free nail polish remover and gently remove the paint and start again .

  3. Optional- If you want to make them frosted wait for them to dry and spray the back twice with the frosted effect

YA Thats it- three whole steps .. Can you believe it !!

After the wedding is done you can always transform these little signs into keepsakes or signs for around the home like we have - HAVE FUN !! These are super easy, super effective and hey I'm pretty sure you could always sell them too :)
