Lekker Bru Stools

So clearly I have a theme this month - the kitchen right? Well you aren't wrong. My kitchen is one that is a little funky and needs some extra love, and a little modern upgrade. And like any normal person we do that piece by piece . And talking about piece by piece - Lets check out this weeks upcycle.

Hows this for a a lekker bru stool !!

i had 101 ideas for these - paint them different colours, decoupage them, I even reached out to the Granny B fam for some love and guidance until wisdom struck like gold and and beautiful compass stencil finally had its time to shine. Check out our little vlog below or our write out beneath that little oakie .

But all you need if you do want to do this yourself isssssssssss----

1) Ok obviously a set of stools - A nice idea is to get none matching ones ( That's the next plan) but these I got from Lotters pine (great quality, at a great price)

2) I of course used my fav paint - Granny B's in Daisy

3) For the black paint I actually used Chalked ( I still have a really large tin left )

4) For Varnish I used Armoured by Granny B;s

5) The Stencil I got at Jimnette's another fav shop of mine

My booty might love this direction ;) Get it - get it - cause its a compass ;) looooool nah you get it !

Lets get this show on the road ya'll

1) Sand your furniture down, and then wipe it down with a damp cloth . Then leave it to dry

2) Once dry tape off the ends of the stool 3) Paint on your fancy legs

4) Paint the top of the stool

5) Trace on your stencil . Its ok if there is a little smudging. But to avoid this double side tape the stencil to the chair . Then after its dried just retouch it to get a really crisp finish .

6) Make any final touches and finish off with a clear varnish

Fancy Pants you are done !! And now your booty too has direction .
